Laurie Henneman Outstanding Student Presentation Awards

The Montana Academy of Sciences would like to thank all those who attended and participated in our 2016 Annual Meeting on April 8 and 9 at Montana Tech.  Additionally, we would like to thank our sponsors of the meeting; we could not have done it without you!  There were many fine poster and oral presentations at the meeting, but the Board of Directors have identified the following four students as recipients of the Laurie Henneman outstanding student presentation awards:

Best Undergraduate Student Poster:  Oscar Machado, Montana State University – Bozeman, “Determining the place of Aqp-3b in the Wnt/Ca2+ Noncanonical Pathway”

Best Graduate Student Poster:  Medora Lachman, Montana State University – Bozeman, “The Intertwined Successional Development of Lamb Gut Microbota and Immune System”

Best Undergraduate Student Oral Presentation: Jordan Foster, Montana Tech, “Stormwater in Silver Bow and Blacktail Creeks: Implications for the Microbial Community”

Best Graduate Student Oral Presentation: M. Rashelle Herrygers, Montana State University – Bozeman, “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Metabolic Profiles to Distinguish Geographically Isolated Populations of Mountain Goats (Oreamnos americanus)”

Congratulations to all the award winners!
